3rd Grader

Today Friday 4 Aug is Jacob's First Day of 3rd Grade. His teacher is Ms. Henderson. I'll get photos of the school this afternoon. School is from 8:40 until 3:30. I can't wait to see how he likes it.



 

8-18 July

Sunday, Mike and the boys went fishing. They caught nada. Mike got one jellyfish and 3 crabs. LMAO Monday; Jacob saw a baby crab in the front flower garden. We went to lunch at Chick-Fil-A with Celina and her two kids. Jacob and Connor played from 11:30 until 2:30 at the playarea there. I met Celina online when she was stationed at Pope and just so happens she got stationed here in Jan. On the way home Jacob said he wanted to keep the crab for a pet. I said if it was still there then he could. It wasn't there. Went home started supper then took the timer with us to the Bay and went Fishing again. Mike caught one fish, threw it back. He caught it with corn of all things. Mike caught Jacob a crab. He named the crab. The crab moved and he said Nope don't like crab and we threw it back. (Side note I had to go back and change crab, cause I kept typing crap. :D) Came home ate roast, then went tanning. Tuesday, swimming lessons. Jacob did pretty good. Went to Scilliy's Pizza with Brenda & Ernie and their two kids. They were at Alconbury with us. Jacob and Kyle went to Kindergarten together. Then Kyle moved right after Kindergarten to here. They don't get along well. Kyle is shy. Jacob gets along with his sister though. :) Connor and Mike went to the other pool and played in the water. He asked Mike can I jump. He said you need to ask the lifeguard. Connor walks up to her and says can I please jump? She said Awww, Oh can I say No to that. And said yes. Wednesday, got movies from Netflicks. Watch Rumor has it, great movie. Took Jacob to swimming lessons. Oh he is cocky now and thinks he can swim. He got put in his permentant group and he is with the beginners. I don't have the heart to tell him. I told him that he may think he knows how to swim but the lifeguard is teaching him the correct way so he needs to watch, learn, do, and practice. Went to the commissary which closed at 6 and it was now 6:30. Mike thought they closed at 7. OOPS. Went Tanning. Bed was HOTTTTT! Went home, cooked Pork Chops on the Grill. Ate supper. Jacob went to his room and watch PeeWees Play House on Cartoon Network. Okay Remind me why he has cable in his room. LMAO. Thursday we have lessons again at 5:30. We went to Yuki's. They cook the food in front of you. The boys had a blast. Jacob ate so much he got sick to his tummy. Connor was soo busy watching that he didn't eat. Had to doggy bag his.Friday, Swimming lessons Jacob went down the slide twice and the lifeguards caught him. Mike didn't have work today.Sat; He went down the slide and no one caught him. He said he could swim. OMGosh was the life guard pissed at me. But it made Jacob realize that he needs to practice more. Sun: Went to Sam's and the Outlets Happy Birthday ME!Monday: Clinic to get my meds changed over. I got lost in the clinic but I love my new doctor. Ate lunch with Mike at the V. Took the boys to the park. Jacob knocked the wind out of himself.Tuesday: Clinic Again, blood work, I'll let you know the results later. Swimming lessons. HOLY COW, Jacob is getting better. He can swim under the water but not with his head on top of the water. GOT MY CAMERA BACK! WOO HOO!

Discovery Center

Took the boys to Discovery Center. They had a blast. I have more photos of Jacob cause Connor was having too much fun. You will notice that when you see the photo I tried to take of the boys together.


 

Connor's Dr Appt

Okay I'm a forgetful mommy.I forgot all about getting a 4 year appt and shots until I read a post on one of my groups. OOPS.
So Connor's Appt was yesterday. He was all happy about getting 4 shots. We get there and he played shy with the Tech on the eye chart, he finally did it. He weighs 35 lbs and is 41 inches tall. The doctor said he is in perfect health. Connor did everything he asked him to do. Jacob wanted to do it all too.
So next we went to get shots. Connor was happy until she told him only 3 shots. He finally gave up and said okay. Come to find out Jacob had to redo his Hep B so he started having a cow. Jacob is scared of shots, unlike Connor. Connor laid in my lap got all three shots and didn't cry or tear up a bit. Jacob we had to hold down just to get a shot in the arm. I held his one arm behind my back, his head in my lap, Mike held is shot arm, and his legs, the tech held his arm and gave the shot. Jacob did all this crying and when he finally got the shot he said Ouch that didn't hurt that bad. He watched Connor get all of his shots and was still scared. Oh well. Both boys are done for shots for a while.

Fireworks

This place is huge for fireworks. We left the house at 8, thinking we should be able to get parking. We finally found parking at about 8:30. There were tons of folks out and about shooting there own fireworks on the beach. It was beautiful. We got to watch a pre-game show, then the real show, then finally an after party show. We got home about 10. I recorded the Macy's Fireworks also. Jacob fell asleep in the car on the way home and Mike had to go to bed so he could be awake for work. So Connor & I sat down and watched the Fireworks again. It was beautiful also.

Beach Trip

Holy Smokes did we have a blast.
Went over to Pensacola visited Mike's Family. Went to Johnson's Beach. The boys played in the water and sand. Connor made Sand Angels. Mike and I got to enjoy time in the ocean without the boys as well cause Maw-Maw and Pa-Pa watched them play. It was great.After that Mike and I gave Dan a run for his belly in Sonny's BBQ. OMGosh that was so great BBQ. Then we went out to Books-A-Million. Jacob got a Junie B Jones book on tape. Mike's Mom was so laughing her ass off, listening to it in the car.Mike, Jacob & Greg went over to Pizza Inn to play Magic they had a blast.Aunt Nikki cooked Connor a cheese burger then he went over to Pizza Hut to play Magic as well. Well Watch at least.They got back and then we all went out to Wal-Mart & K-Mart.We got back to Angie's House and the boys all showed off their sword fighting skills. Then we headed back to Biloxi at 11 pm. Needless to say today we have been napping and lazy. Hope everyone is having a great 4th of July weekend. I know we sure are.HUGS*Didn't take pictures because my camera is broken and I had to mail it back to the company to get fixed. BUMMER :(

Boys @ Biloxi Beach

Mike got into a wreck at Wal-Mart non the less.
He was driving 5 mph through the crosswalk section and a guy didn't notice him and hit the passenger side back tire. Mike's KIA has a little scratch and the other guy's bumper was about to fall off. Everyone is okay. The boys were scared poopless and now they think of Wal-mart with getting into a crash. OOPS

Going to Penscola today, since they were suppose to have thunderstorms from about 3 pm on, still waiting on them to have them. BUMMER :(
We went to the base pool at 12:15 to be told by the life guards they have to clean it and that it will be ready by 1 pm. Needless to say we just said no, then went to Gulf Waves Water Park. OMGosh, the people, you couldn't stir people with a stick. The lines were crazy. The boys had a blast. They want to go back again. But since they are out of season pass, we won't be making it a habit.
Tomorrow and the rest of the week we will be finishing our unpacking and getting the house as normal as we can because Mike goes for his first day into the base on the 29th. :)

All Moved In

Last Monday 12 Jun we started our drive down to Biloxi. We stayed at a hotel overnight Monday Night, Went to IHOP the next morning, then finished up the rest of the trip. Mike and I split up at 1-10 in Mobile, I went to get his Mom and he went to get the keys and all the utilities set up for the house. As of today, we have a handful of boxes left to go through. With Two Boys & Two Dogs in tow it was a fun trip down from SC to MS.
We went to Pensacola yesterday and the boys had a blast in the Gulf. We are going back again on Saturday. :) I'm enjoying all the warm *Hot* Weather.
I'll take pictures of the house when we are completely finished, which has to be sometime before the 29th cause Mike goes back to work.

Friday - Sunday

Friday we went to Charleston fought with the port and the offices to get Mike's car, finally got it and then the battery was dead, had to jump him everytime he turned off the car.
While we were there we ate at the cute little Ferry Bay Restaurant. We had a view of the sea. The boys enjoyed it.
Saturday we got Mike a new battery then went out to Greenville again, on the way there the van lights came on again, so we went into the Toyota service area again and come to find out there is a tiny pin leak somewhere and they are going to need it for a few days so Monday morning we have to drop it off again and get a loaner car.
We made it out to Greenville, went to the mall, then went back to my moms again. Then out to Senaca we went to eat at Fatz, and Walmart again. :) HE HE.
Today Sunday we went out to the Lake, the kids had a blast. The sun screen and Jacob's sunburn didn't like each other so he got blisters all over the area. He is sleeping now.
Connor is playing with his cousin Levi over at Great Grandpa Chucks.
2 thunderstorms so far, OMGosh did I sleep good through the last one.
I have tons of pictures, but no way to upload them. I'll do that as soon as we get set up with everything down in Biloxi.

OH YEAH!! Mike told me to slap him if he ever talked bad about Wal-Mart again. He has been to 6 different books stores looking for his books and he finally found them at Wal-Mart for $5 each. :)

Updates

Let's see, we flew home on Sunday May 21st. 8 hour flight to Dulles with a 3 hour lay off at Dulles because the plane going to Charleston was late. We get on this plane that looks like a Greyhound bus with wings. It was an okay ride. Connor took a nap on the flight from Heathrow to Dulles, Jacob slept the entire flight from Dulles to Charleston. BTW: We had forgotten that the heat with humidity feels like a warm wet blanket wrapped around you. It was still 91 degrees when we got to the hotel at about 8 Sunday night. We got to the hotel, put on our swimsuits and went to the pool and hot tub. Stayed in there for about 30 minutes went to the room and took a shower. The boys had a blast watching Commericals. All we heard was I want this and that. They have memorized Commericals and Movie Ads. Look I can Burp the ABC's From Connor. We ate Arby's Yucky :( Monday Mike went and got the van. I've only drove on the wrong side of the road once. I did however just about turn in the wrong lane once. Okay back to Monday, we drove from Charleston to Pickens SC. That was a fun and long trip. The boys enjoyed watching Chicken Little again and sleeping through it. We got to my moms house and the boys have been up Pa-Pa butt since the first minute. I got to see my dog and noticed holy cow it is like having another kid. YIKES. I'm starting to get us to it. Mike car is still at the port because the company is still doing paperwork. He has called just about everyday. He called while we were still in England to find out that it wasn't being delivered until 23 May, YIKES, I wonder what happen to 20 May. Oh well, here it is 1 Jun and still haven't gotten it. We dropped off the Van to get the lights looked at, they changed the gas cap and the lights stayed off until Sunday when we went out to Greenville. Okay back to the topics, I know I'm rambling quite nicely. Okay Wednesday we got up at the butt crack of dawn and drove down to Biloxi. Mike signed for the house and found out that we couldn't leave until Friday because of Finance. We got a hotel on Base. The local area looks a bit better than it did from the pictures. We drove down HWY 90 over to Gulfport ate really good Chinese. Oh BTW: The Kids were at my moms having fun with them. They both got new bikes. Connor's is Pink with a baby doll sit and Jacob's is blue. Okay, Thursday Mike went in to sign into the base and do a few things then we went over to Pensacola to see Mike's family. We went and got our drivers license and to register the cars. Yeah right, when Auto Exchange said you pay Used car tax they were a little wrong. They wanted $2,076 for the taxes, plates, and registeration. HA HA. We told them no, we will register in MS. We went out to Pizza Hut with Mike's family then the mall. Then we went over to there house. We got back to the base at 12 am. Mike had to go back to the orderly room on Friday to go back on leave and to Finance. Come to find out our orders are wrong and we have to get them fixed. Met up with Celina. She is a great lady. Her kids are soo cute and well behaved. Friday afternoon we left and came back to SC, got back about 12 am. The boys have some nice farmers tans. Saturday we went out to Superwalmart, Big Lots, and Tri Star imports. Sunday the boys, Mike and I went out to Greenville, Toys R Us, Sams Club, etc.. It was fun. Monday we sat outside and got some sun while the boys played in the pool. Tuesday we dropped on the van again for the lights and to get the rims fixed we got a rental car. Wednesday we drove around went to the supercenter again, normal walmart, grocery store lowes and a few other stores. Jacob got into a fight with a bigger boy cause he was picking on Connor. Jacob was brave to stand up to him. Today Thursday I don't think we have much to do. Just sit around and relax. We are heading back down to Biloxi about 12 Jun. I'm due an allergy shot on the 14. I'm hoping they have our concurrent travel approve by then. 15 Jun they are delivering over household goods and the 16 is our storage stuff that was in NC. 17 Jun we are going to take a break and go over to Gulf Port Water Park The boys are itching to play in a real pool. Great Friend

Kina is a great friend, she is going to help us clean the house for the final inspection. She is also helping me countdown the days until I leave England. She has 24 bottles of beer in the fridge and she is going to drink 1 a day until we leave. So for everyone to join in to sing. Let's all join in and sing with her everyday. I have 24 days left as of right now, at 11:50 am I will have 23 days.

3 bedroom 2 bath, double car garage, 1,400 square feet, $900 a month. Nice Area, Great Schools, in Biloxi. I can honestly say I'm getting excited about moving to Biloxi now.
