Weird Photo

So I was taking pictures of the kids last night and this is what happen when they got tired of letting me take photos and walked away in mid take:

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Loosey Goosey

So Jacob was late getting his teeth and was late loosing his teeth.
Connor on the other had got his 1 month earlier than Jacob and has a loosey goosey already, it has been loose for a while since about the age of 4, but we told him to leave it alone and it would get loose by itself (You know the longer they keep baby teeth the healthier the adult tooth is, or so the saying goes). Well, now at the age of 5, my baby has a very loosey goosey and is ready for the tooth fairy. I'm going to give him a week of it bugging him and hurting him and we will have it out. (WISH HIM LUCK)
I'll keep you posted.

Downers

Lost: 1 kid and 1 dog. Found: 1 kid & 1 dog.
(Keep reading for story)

KID We were leaving Wal-Mart and Leslie wanted to show me the stuffed animalsI walked over there and looked at themI told her they were cute and then we were leavingI could have swore Connor was beside me, nope. Jacob says wheres Connor, I looked around and my heart just stopped he wasn't thereI went in and I could hear him crying, but I couldn't find him, So I'm screaming Connor..... ConnorAnd I hear a lady say do you know where your mommy in and I see him. Oh I was pissedI told him you are in soo much trouble I got his hand and he was still crying I squeezed it and he said Ouch while cryingThen I got him past the register and I picked him up and hugged him tight, told him to never do that again, that I don't want to lose him. He was still crying and saying I'm soo sorry mommy.I wanted to kill him and hug him at the same time.

DOG:Went over to the neighbors house, we had let the dogs out to run while I was over there. OOPS, Chi-Chi went looking for me, she is such a mamas girl.I hear Mike screaming her name. I went outside and yelled did you loose my dog again, he said nope you lost your dog. So Mike went driving around to find her. I went in the house to make sure she wasn't there. The neighbor heard a same little bark and said I think she is over here. Chi-Chi went into Mr. Bills back yard, throught a racoon hole, but couldn't get back out. It was funny cause that is normally where we all go to talk. So she thought we were there.

So after two days I lost two loved ones, but I got them both back.Got to love Kids and Dogs!

Uppers

Computer is fixed it is having a few issues but it works.
Still faster than the DELL!!! I hate that computer.
Took Family Photos today, Guess who took the pictures, guess guess guess!!!!!
We went to see the Singing Christmas Tree at First Baptist Church in Biloxi. The boys were bored, Connor kept saying it and asking how much longer, Jacob just went to sleep instead. Mike & I enjoyed it.HUGS

BOO HOO!

My electronic best friend died today.
So I'm having to use my old electronic best friend until Mike gets the newer one fixed.
How crazy is that? I purchased a new computer to replace the old Dell and get this the Old Dell is the one that is still kicking, WTF?????
Is it that a Dell is better than a HP or that this Dell just wants to live forever?Well with that said, I'm going to kick the HP a few more times.
BUMMER!!!

Yeppers

Okay so Dana moved out, then my grandma came to visit for a while, loved having her here even though the only thing she did was sleep.
Jacob finished Football and they won the Championship!! WTG, TEAM!
Connor started soccer and it is just like last year a waste of time. Coaches do a good spill on we are going to do this that and they other and then it fades to black. So we stopped going.Christmas Shopping is done, except for Mike's Mom. But we know what we are going to get her so that is great. We went to FL for Thanksgiving and it was great, we cooked took all the food over to pizza hut and had this huge Buffet style dinner. It was huge, lots of family, friends and co-workers at Pizza Hut. We played board games, Magic Card Games and Regular Cards. Laughed too hard and had to much food as always.
Christmas Mike's Family are coming over here and we are going to SC to visit my mom for about a week starting on the 26th. So yeppers we are going to be packing up the family, the kids presents and the girls for an 8 hour trip to SC, Mountains soooooo Beautiful. LOADS OF PHOTOS Hopefully.
My grandma wants to come and visit again, I don't know if she will, but I told her I will get her greyhound to my moms and she can ride back with us to MS.
Oh we thought seriously about purchasing a house, got right down to the contract part of it after we got the mortgage loan approved and we decided against it. Thank goodness we did, don't want to live in MS for the rest of my life, still want to go out and see the world.
Mike is studying very hard to make Master this year and I'm studying the same stuff cause it is fun to know the Military Spouse updated parts.
Well that is our little updates.HUGS

Quit BAMM

After being offered Manager, accepting it and then being told I was joking.
Then having the Assistant Manager (Lindsay) talk about me behind my back.
I could hear her, Bobbie then Bobbie.
I answered what, then she said I was talking about you, not to you.
I'm like what the F?
So today I went into work doing the specialist job that I don't get paid for.
Mike called and said he wanted to do lunch with me, but he wasn't sure what time he could get there, I said Okay.
Karla goes to Lunch and She had 10 minutes left.
Mike gets there and only has 20 minutes for lunch
I asked if it was okay if I start my lunch break now since Mike only has 20 minutes, she said I would rather you wait. I said Okay.
Then she says fine go all snotty.
Then Angie ask if she can go to lunch. Lindsay says yes then starts telling her that I had to have lunch with Mike so now she has to stop what she is doing so that she can cover me, because I couldn't wait for Karla to come back. She didn't think I could hear her, or maybe she didn't care.
So I go back to my register and tell her she can go back to her job that I'm not taking my lunch break now, she said why not I said you can. I said no, you said you would rather me wait, so I'm waiting she said no you can go *all snotty* because Mike only has 20 minutes. I told her I can talk with Mike anytime. I even said I was sorry that I didn't know Mike was coming at this time etc.... At this point she is doing the bitchy face with the snottiness. I said fine I quit. This store has too much drama, too much backstabbing, and like I told you before I don't need the job or the money, I was just working here to have something to do, and since it seems like no one stays here, UM, I now know why.

There is my vent for today.

Mike is proud that I quit, he couldn't figure out why I was staying after they pulled the manager crap.

Oh well.
I'm home, I have more time for the kids, hubby, and life.

Happy Birthday Jacob (9th)

Well today was a busy day.
I had a meeting at work after closing last night at 12 am.
So from 8 to 9 I sat in a meeting.
Then went to go sign the boys up for Soccer.
While Mike took the boys to the football field to get Jacob's Team Photo done by 8:45.
Then the game started at 10 ended at 11.
Which our little Saints won their first game.

Then we went to Pensacola to see Mike's family. Went to Walmart for Jacob's Presents, got to love last minute.
Then we went out to eat at Pizza Hut. Darn me, I forgot the camera at home.

We are back in Biloxi now, the kids are asleep.
Jacob got new pokemon stuffed animals, a MP3 player, DS Dogs game, A new virutal pet that I get to leave on pause, or kill. HE HE.
On his MP3 Player we put Pokemon Songs and Kidz Bop 12. He was listening to it all morning, then on the ride over to Pensacola. He named his dog, Blue, it is a Husky.

Life in the Fast Lane

Ever wonder why life seems to fly by. Well so do I.
While we were in England it seemed to just draw itself out. Even if we stayed so busy that we couldn't tell if we were coming or going.
I volunteered, Mike worked, Jacob did every sport he could think of and yet we still had time to be a family and enjoy down time.
But here, Downtime doesn't seem to work its way into our schedule. Mike still works, get every other Friday off. The boys both do sports and I still volunteer when I have time. I even started up a job at BAMM, which seems to be great one minute and a pain in the ass the next.
I do miss the downtime, just playing gamecube, reading, riding bikes that we did in England. I really need to figure out how to work that into here. I don't know if it is that we have just become Lazy like other American's or what. Heck, we even find ourselves going out to eat more often. Which I hate. I don't know how we talk ourselves into it, but we do. I miss our little family holding hands and saying grace at the dinner table.
How do you get out of the fast lane and back to the slow lane?
How do you find time for yourself, your family and still live in this fast pace country?
When I figure it out, I promise I will spill the beans!
But until then, I'll take any advice I can get.

Football

My Little Saint had his first practice tonight.
It had been scheduled for a while, but with the thunderstorms it had been cancelled.
He had himself a blast. At first he didn't like hitting that much. NOW, he loves it. (Why you may ask, ummm) Cause his Dad told him to act like he was hitting Connor. Jacob and Mike both agree, that he loves football much better than any other sport. Believe me he has played Soccer, Baseball, Basketball and now Football. HE LOVES IT!!! He loves getting hit, doing the hitting etc... Mike said his glasses would fly down and he would just get up from hitting and just push them back up. He as practice again tomorrow. I'll be at work. But Thursday I'll be there watching and taking photos. :)

First game is 15 Sept. My little saints 9th Birthday!

Give Life

About every 8 weeks or so . . .

I go and give blood. Normally I take Mike with me just in case if I get dizzy, faint, etc....
I figured heck I've done this 3 times, I should be fine. So I invited Kathryn to donate as well. She said she has been meaning to do it, so she went as well.

I got there, signed up for my appt at 12 pm. Got the boys in the free childcare area and went to go do the screening. Got done with it and went straight to donate blood, (well after picking up my freebies from the red cross).

Got over there and normally they offer you something to drink, not this time. So I'm sitting there and she starts the task at hand. She sticks the needle in and guess what, she missed the vein, so I had to have her fish around in there. FUN NOT!!! She finally gets it. I'm just about done and guess what I'm getting hot, dizzy and feeling like I'm about ready to throw up and pass out. So they lay me back (Yes just like those folks that you normally smile at when it happens to them, this time it was me). Okay y'all know how much I love to talk, I will talk with anyone. Well at this point, I don't want to talk, I want to go to sleep. I keep getting told to talk, don't close your eyes etc.... Finally I'm not dizzy and I get this cute Airman from Honor Guard beside me just a chatting cause he has get me and walk me to the tables. So I'm chatting with him and my phone rings, it's Kathryn she just got there and was worried cause she couldn't find me. I told her I'm the one with my feet up. So after about 15 minutes I finally get some fluids from another Honor Guard member. Got to love those Airman!!!!
I get walked over to the tables and my cutey tells me to but my elbows on the table so that I fall forward if I faint. LMAO!

I'm sitting there and the lady in front of me got dizzy and everything as well. Oddly enough, there was lots of folks getting hot and dizzy at this thing. Well I eat my pizza, drink more drink, and go to get the boys. OPPS I can't remember what direction of the mall I left my kids. I went 3 difference ways, well damn if I would have went the 4th I would have found them, but at this point I couldn't remember if I went that way or not. Still just a bit out of it. I finally ask someone and guess what they didn't know either. About 5 minutes later I find the kids with the help of a different person. YAY!. They had fun, coloring eating, drinking, watching TV. They got stickers and a balloon. They want to give blood when they get older. So I sit down on the bench in the mall and Guess What. . .

I see Kathryn, so I decided to go with her and help her out with the kiddos. So here we go again, but this time, it was Kathryn, not me. I held her hand when she got poked and chatted with her, offered her my drink, played with the boys, while sitting my little arse on the floor. Don't cross your legs. he he he

We got done and we sat back at the tables, needless to say she didn't need Airman cutey to help her. The kids ate pizza cookies and played with the stuff on the table. I layed down on the floor and everyone keep asking are you okay. I was still dizzy, just wanted to sleep. Needless to say, I got Mike out of work, he had to drive me home. His car is still at the mall. Loving my TSgt Cutey!

I'm home sleep some and now I feel better. Time to eat and then go get Mikes car from the Mall.

Just in case if you're wondering I ate breakfast and a snack before giving blood.

So looking forward to Aug 21, to do it again. Right Kathryn!

24 May

So yesterday was a half day of school.
Got Jacob then we all went out to Lunch at Quiznos with Mike.
Afterward Jacob had to get his eyes checked again. His vision is getting worse and they said for us to bring him in again in 3 months to make sure that they are going to change again.
So we went to Sears, I left a message with the manager and Needless to say, the new lady forgot to give it to her.
So I called the Manager today to find out about the warranty, to see if it covers new lenses, she said nope we would have to purchase a new set frames and all. BUMMER. I don't know what to do. Cause if we do that know then he may have to do it again in 3 months and I don't want his vision getting any worse from wearing the same glasses that are weak now. I guess that is something we are just going to have to deal with, new glasses now and hope and pray his vision stays the same and not change within the next 3 months. If it does then I guess we will be purchasing yet another pair of glasses.

This morning we got up at 7:30, went for a 30 minute walk. The boys enjoyed it and are looking forward to it again tomorrow morning this a little earlier, it is hot here at 7:30 after exercising.
We ate breakfast. Then Jacob decided his wanted to call his friends Tanner & William. Tanner wasn't home, but he got ahold of William and William invited him over. So Jacob, Connor and I went over there. We got to meet William, Daniel (Williams' Little brother), Kathy (mom) and his Pat (dad). The kids enjoyed playing for a good 2 hours. They played in the woods, in Williams room and in the yard. We came home had lunch. Then I had both boys work on writing. Jacob on cursive and Connor on print. Oddly enough both boys can write pretty good. Connor can write all his letters and say them. Jacob has just about got cursive down pat.
It's 4 pm and the boys haven't gotten on each other nerves or mine for that matter. I'm hoping this keeps up.
I'm amazed I got some cleaning done without having to stop every 5 minutes to entertain Connor. WOW, the change when Jacob is home. I'm very thankful they have and love each other.

1st Year back

So we have been back from the UK for 1 year now.
Lots of things has changed.

Mike went from being a basic Information Manager to a Instructor of 3 level students. Now he is an Instructor of 7 level students as well and an IS (Instructor Supervisor) to Boot. He tested for MSgt and we should find out in Jun. Side Note: Honestly I don't think he has a chance in hell. Cause he doesn't have enough time in Service or Grade. June 17th is 10 years in and 10 years to go. It doesn't seem like it has been that long.

Jacob has finished 3rd grade with flying color. Honor Roll the entire time.
He went to a trip to the local skating rink for completing his Reading Goal.
They had field day 18 May. He has been actually enjoying himself at school. He has a little girlfriend named Samantha.

Connor is excited about turning 5. He still doesn't want to write but that is okay he has the entire summer to get over that.

We are going on vacation 3 Jun. Our first since we have been back.
Mississippi is starting to get better or it could be the fact that I stay in the house and don't really talk with anyone other than Mike, Kathryn, Amy and my neighbors. I still talking with my computer friends more.

The boys are signed up for swim lessons. Connor can't wait.
Pool opens 26 May and we are going. They are doing Swim Aerobics Tues and Thurs from 1:15 to 2:15 and I'm bringing the boys.

We have started taking the boys to the movies. So far they have seen, Meet the Robinsons, Spider Man 3, and Shrek 3.

They enjoy having Uncles, An Aunt, and Grandparents that are close by. They get to see them 2 or 3 times a month. Actually Angie (Mike's Mom) is going with us on vacation.

My grandmother is doing better. My little sister no longer wants to live with Mike & I, cause she doesn't want to uproot and leave her friends every 3 to 4 years.
Pearl is going good and enjoying those grandbabies.

Crawfish Festival

Tonight we went to the crawfish festival. Nope I didn't break the heads off and suck anything out.
I'm normally the type of person that well try anything once twice if it is good. But those little buggers I just won't try.
The boys got to see Nascar #8 and the Hotties, they wouldn't talk nor take a picture with them.

We heard a few different bands, two were awesome.
Villebillies & Uncle Kracker

Needless to say, my voice is hoarse, my ears are ringing, but I had a great time. Connor had a blast dancing. Jacob was embarrassed. Got to love the fact that when they get older they get embarrassed so easily.
I took Loads of Pictures which I will upload later, but for now, I'm going to bed, cause I'm not as young as I use to be.

New Orleans Trip

So we drove too New Orleans to go to this 3 story mall. There was a 24 Annual French Quarter Festival going on so the road to the Mall was closed off. We couldn't find parking so we just drove around.
Some of the photos are of how close the houses/businesses are together.
One is of the fence if you tried to climb into this persons backyard OUCH.
And the VW Bug was for sale. Come on, lets say Dream Car. LMAO!
Some nice art on a building and a statue, there was more there, but the traffic/people was horrible and I didn't get much. Sorry!
If and when we go back I will get more photos!

SC Trip

Short Version: Ole Lady (Grandma) is getting back to normal. She has someone to take care of her and we came back as a family no grey hound etc.....
Didn't make it to the beach, I did see Pearl and her family. That was the best part!

Warning: LONG!!! If you know my family history all of this is normal for them:

The drive up was good.
I was talking to my friend Randi in Guam and Mike woke up and the sign said Macon/Tampa 285. Well that was my exit, he said it wasn't because it said Tampa. He was going insane thinking how in the hell I drove to Tampa. So about 30 minutes later I finally got back on the right road towards Macon/Tampa. It was funny.
We stopped at a rest area and slept for a few hours, then finished up our trip to Florence SC. Grandma didn't get out of the hospital Thursday Morning like they said she would. She didn't get out until Saturday afternoon around lunch time. Some how she was having mental problems, they didn't know what or how it was caused. She said she was talking to people that weren't there, she was angry as some lady looking at her, and come to find out she was looking at herself in the mirror.
Friday Morning we called before we got off the interstate to see if she was going home she said no not until tomorrow morning (Sat). So we got a hotel room with an indoor pool. *Remind me I still need to complain on that hotel it sucked butt.We went to see her at the hospital and she didn't look right mentally and physically. She was going in and out of sleep talking out her ass. Tammy (Step mother, Adoptive Dads Wife) called and asked how she was doing. I said not too good, they don't know what is wrong with her. So Tammy said they were on their way up. (Sammie~Sister, Luke~Brother, Bobby~Adoptive Father, Aubrey~Uncle)
Before they got there the nurses figured out that her blood pressure and blood sugar were very low. They corrected the blood pressure and then the blood sugar went lower, finally Friday Afternoon they got it all corrected and she wasn't talking out her ass as much.
I asked Aubrey what he wanted to do if Grandma died, live with us in MS or live with Bobby & Tammy, he said he wants to live alone and travel the world. I asked him how since he can't drive, he said walk.
I got into 2 fights with Bobby. 1 about what Grandma said she wanted if she died. The other because he thought I was trying to steal Sammie. Mike stood up for me (I have always told him I would take care of the fights, I finally told him he could help me). Mike said he was tired of the way they treated me and all the name calling. Bobby yelled I haven't called her I can't hold my hand up to my ear. He was thinking about talking on the phone. Then Mike said something else and Bobby got up out of his wheel chair and told Mike we can settle this right here like men. Tammy jumped in the middle like they were really going to fight, telling Bobby he needed to sit down. Mike and I looked at each other like what the hell. At this point, I told him lets go, this is bullshit, we got the boys out of my grandmas room and we started to leave. Ms Debbie Grandma's nurse said she would call if anything change with her and she gave me her number.
Bobby is yelling we can take this out to the parking lot if you like. I looked at Mike and said he is left handed he can't hold the phone how in the hell is he going to hit you. We were both thinking WTF?????
My sister was suppose to go with us to Pearl's house and then back to the hotel, but that didn't happen.
We went to lunch then we went to the hotel to swim, Sammie did finally come because her mom felt back for everything that happen. While we were there, Bobby called over and over again to Tammy. We got done with Swimming took Tammy & Sammie back to the hospital to see Grandma, they didn't know how to get there. Then we left after visiting a bit longer. My Grandma at this time is still a little nuts, she kept telling the nurses she was going home and trying to climb over the bedrails. Oh she said she doesn't trust me and that I'm playing April Fool's Day tricks on her, but she trusts Mike. When leaving the hospital, Bobby calls Tammy and tells her to tell Mike he is sorry for the way he acted, he didn't say I'm sorry to me, just Mike.
We left there and went to Pearls house. I got to talk with them and Summer wasn't home so I got to talk with Kevin and play with their little girl Gracey. (Kevin~ex boyfriend of 7 years I was suppose to marry him, instead I married Mike, Pearl~Kevin's mom she thinks of me as a daughter even after I dumped her son, Chuck~Kevin's Stepfather, Gracey~Kevin's Daughter, Summer~Kevin's Wife, they are having problems and she hates me with a purple passion, Dylan~Kevin's Son, we didn't get to meet him) Mike and Kevin got along great, I was happy to see them being friends. Jacob enjoyed Gracey. Connor was asleep the entire time because of swimming et.... We left Pearl's went to get Supper and then to bed.
End of Friday
Saturday morning we went to Target, I forgot to pack socks, oops. It was chilly up there.
Then we went to the hospital to see grandma at the hospital. She was still acting a little weird, but they were sending her home anyway. They said Physically she is fine but Mentally no. It is a catch 20/20 they can send her home because she is better physically, they can't keep her for the mental part. So I talked with a mental health nurse she said there isn't anything we can do. She can go home.
Finally she got released, she got 3 pages of drugs. I took her over to Pearls cause Pearl wanted to see her. I got to play with Gracey again. I walked over to Kevins house and his wife was leaving to go to the grocery store. The boys asked Kevin if they could play on the trampoline and swing set. I talked with Summer for about a minute. She said I'm going to the grocery store, Gracey and Kevin are in the house, Gracey is in the high chair. She didn't know who I was. Mike and Kevin talked maybe 5 minutes outside before she called the house and he went in the house to talk with her. Needless to say I don't think she went to the grocery store after it hit her who was at her house. I had went back over to Pearl's with the baby. When I went to tell Kevin bye and thanks for letting the boys play my grandma took it as I was whoring around on Mike and got pissed at me. Mike said she was saying all type of things to him. Not actually calling me a whore, slut, tramp etc..., but was hinting at it. So I with Connor and Mike said Thanks. I also said thanks for the 3-some in the front yard. Mike joined in and said it was great lets do it again sometime. Laughing!!! We stayed about 30 minutes then we went back to Grandmas house. On the way we had to stop and get her drugs in Latta. The drug store was closed so we went straight to her house.
Sammie, Luke, Tammy & Aubrey was already there. We went in. I asked Sammie to ask Tammy if she could go to Kings with us. (YUMMY SUPER SUB). Tammy said Yes. We left went to CVS to drop off the drugs to get filled. While that was going on we went to Kings. While at Kings Tammy called my cell over 10 times. I finally called her back and she said where are you. I said we are back at CVS and Mike is getting Grandma's Drugs, she said what is taking so long, I said um, you said we could take Sammie out to eat. She said but I'm cooking, I said So, you knew what we were doing. Later she yelled at Sammie for eating at Kings. Come to find out Tammy doesn't cook at home, the only food Sammie gets to eat is at School during Lunch and Breakfast. School is out for Spring Break, so we gave Sammie the money Grandma gave us for the drugs (It wasn't enough to pay for the drugs away $7.00 ha ha that was funny it cost $20)
We got back to Grandmas and she was a little upset that we weren't spending the night. I told her before that Mike has to be back to Work Monday and I wanted to give him enough time to relax. I was telling everyone bye and my Grandmas Roc got loose. This huge dog, bit my elbow, I have teeth bruises on it and a little scratch. I also have bruises on my leg. I don't remember if it bite my leg or scratched me with its huge paw. I was soo pissed. I was just thinking how in the hell do you think I'm suppose to let my kids stay in a house with a dog that bites people. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. My grandmother is still a little nuts she wants to drive and can't for 3 weeks.
So in the 2 short days I was there, Mike was God, The kids are beautiful, well behaved, and I'm a Bitch, Slut, Whore, Tramp, bad wife, mother, daughter, granddaughter, and sister.
I So love my family!
Pearl said we can't wait 10 years to come back, she doesn't care what Summer thinks, we Mike, the boys & I are family. That was my trip to SC!!!

See told you it was Long!!

Fever Blister # 2 & Busted Tooth

Mr. CHEESEY BUTT!

Connor has his 2nd fever blister.
And he was playing on the recliner and couch doing the swing thing, well the recliner arm opened and he fell.
He busted his tooth into the floor and his lip.
Poor little guys tooth is a little loose. We are telling him not to wiggle it so that it won't get looser and fall out.
Don't want him to loose the tooth before it is ready.

Gulf Coast Renaissance Faire

The boys had a blast watching the real josting.
There was tons of little shops.
Both got wooden swords and a blow up one as well.

Later we went to target, the mall, and olive garden.
The boys love spending time with the grandparents, aunt and uncle.
Oh and Uncle Crazy actually call. He is doing great in TN.

Thyroid Update

I went back to the doctor on 27 Feb.
He did another feel of my neck, said my Goiter may have got bigger, but he isn't sure since he wasn't the one to do the initial scan.
He then did an U/S on my neck. Found the goiter and about 5 nodules.
He asked how I felt about a FNA I said go for it. He said I should get the results in 1 week.
I have another appt in Aug!

Cast Off

His Elbow has healed quite nicely. He still can't do PE, Sports, or anything that has two feet off the ground at the same time. He enjoyed his first bath without the cast on. 30 minutes long, he wanted longer but he has to go to school. His arm is a little sore since it hasn't been moved for 4 weeks, it will take about 3 days to get back to normal.

Girly Girl

That is one thing I am not.I'm getting there, but not that quickly. Thanks to Kina and Sony for taking me shopping all the time. I use to hate shopping. I still don't like makeup or doing anything special with my hair. (Remind me not to ever cut it short again, I miss just putting it up in a pony tail)I have been told that I need to start using sunscreen everyday down here in MS. Okay I agree, so that I won't get the signs of aging, but I don't use lotion everyday, I get up, put clothes on, pit stick, fix my hair (its standing up by itself since it has been cut short), perfume (Thanks to Kina, I love VS Body, SOO YUMMY), but I don't remember to do sunscreen. Know the funnier part is that I can remember to put it on the boys, right down to the bug off stuff. But I can't remember me. Oh well.

Know for the real reason of this blog.
Mike my dear husband, wanted to get me a diamond anniversary ring for our 5th Anniversary, I tried to talk him out of it. Don't like flowers, jewelry etc....He picked out a 1 carat. I had nightmares that I was cutting up Connor and him, Connor was still nursing and sleeping in our bed at the time. I took the ring back, I love 30 day trails. HE HE!
So this year will be our 10 year anniversary and he wants to get the ring again, but this time 1/2 carat, thinking that I won't have nightmares. I told him our about our 20th anniversary. Finally I explained to him and reminded him that he tells people all the time I'm not a girly girl and that I don't like that type of stuff. He says he is a hopeless romantic. AWWW, I love that man, but I don't want the ring. Ask me at 20 years!!!
So I asked him if I could have a (Get this) GARMIN for my anniversary instead. Yes I'm happier with electronics. He could get me a flat LCD TV with Bose Surround System and I would be happier than having a ring.He tried getting me a new stereo system for my first birthday. We already had 2 so my thoughts were, Oh a Radio. BTW: He won't let me live that one down. Thanks okay though, I got him on Chicken Shit!!! (Ask me Later, if you don't know the story)

So who else really isn't a girlie girl!
Come on now I know I'm not the only one!! HUGS

Other Updates & Rambling!

Went today to do Labs for my Thyroid. I should get them back in a week or two. I have another appt with Dr. P at the end of Feb, I'm hoping he can figure out what is wrong (If anything is wrong)
Mike is testing for E-7 on 1 Feb. He is excited. He has been studying and still is. It will be a long shot. He will need to score very high to make it, cause he doesn't have enough time in service, time in grade or decorations to make it that way. Good thing is this man is a Sponge, he can read something and just spit it back at you. I wish I could do that.
So 2 Feb is Ground Hogs day! I'm guessing the Hog will see his shadow, it isn't like we have had a real winter as it is. Supposedly since we haven't had a real winter that our summer is suppose to be hotter than last year. Oh boy!!!!
I want to thank everyone that allowed me to send them post cards for Jacob's School Fundraiser. You might be shocked when you see the price of the mags. I was!!! I'm the type that goes to E-bay if I want Mags. Yes you read that right E-bay. Check it out!!

Update on Cast

2 weeks to go!
He complains that it itches and he uses his fingers at school as much as he can, but when he gets home he tries to milk it and be lazy.
Got to love Boys!
13 Feb @ 8 am he gets the cast off.
YAY!!!

Soccer Updates

Connor has changed from crying on the field, to running while holding our hand, to running with us out there, to finally running and playing by himself. He so loves to play now. He also scored a few goals. We are proud of him!

MLK Day Bummer

Jacob broke his elbow!

Oddly enough Playing on the trampoline. Jacob & Connor thought it was a great idea to run on the outside of the netting, Jacob fell. He came in told Mike I think I broke my arm. He wasn't crying in pain or anything so we just thought okay sure. You know how boys always think its fun to say I broke something. His elbow was swollen so we took him to the ER on base and they said it looked like Nursemaids Elbow (Which is what we thought). The X-rays showed a fracture. So oddly enough, he did break it and when the doctor told him he said oh I heard a crack when I fell. Silly boy. We took him to the Ortho Drs today. Good News, he broke it correctly, most elbow break need surgery, but he doesn't. He got a Red Cast and has to go back in 1 week for a check up. He has to have a cast on for 4 weeks. He didn't go to school today. We wanted him to get use to the cast and let is set before he braved it. HUGS

Love, Like, Hate Etc....

What I love about my kids, husbands, and pets is that you can love them one second, just about ready to kill them the next and then before you know it you are in love with them all over again.
I also don't get how in the hell that works.
Example: Connor normally goes to playgroup on Tuesday. Mike has been working Swing Shift (T-Shift) for the past 2 months. Neither one of the boys have caught on to the fact that we want them to whisper in the mornings. Connor will scream, Jacob eggs him on. Connor will start laughing and talking loud and I don't mean in a normal voice and the next thing I know Jacob who doesn't talk that much is being loud. Or if the kids are quite the damn dogs have to bark at something outside.
So this morning I told Connor and Jacob to Whisper (Yellow Light). Connor starts screaming and yelling at Jacob. So I told him one more time and no playgroup. Needless to say he didn't go to playgroup.
Whisper (Yellow Light)No Talking (Red Light)Talking Normal, Inside Voice (Green Light)Get your Ass out of my House (Blue Light)
So in between Connor not listening, yelling at me that I want to behave (Which is so much fun, Cause I try to explain to him either you behave or you don't, there is no I want to behave), Mike trying to sleep, Dogs barking, Jacob's telling on Connor every 5 seconds, Connor not listening to me or Mike or the Coach for Soccer. I decided that I was going to put him in Preschool. So I call the very first number in the phone book and they have an opening. I get there and I don't get the warm fuzzy and I'm thinking ummm, it can't be that bad and I started filling out the paperwork and Connor tell me NO Mommy I don't like it here, I want to go home. So I tell the lady to let me talk with Mike and I will call her back. We go and check out the rest of the building and Connor is holding on to me for dear life. This independent little life that has always been this way, has changed he is all up my butt. So we look at the classroom, there isn't much to speak of, the playgroup is tiny kids stuff, not stuff that he is use too, and he is still saying I want to go home. I don't like it. Then my mommy heart kicks in and thinks well if I'm not getting a warm fuzzy and neither is he then this isn't the right place for him. Then he tells the lady I'm not 5 I can't go to your school I want to go to Jacob's School. So I told the lady Thanks and I will talk with her later. We go home and I tell Mike about the place and he agrees that it isn't the right place for Connor. So he isn't going to preschool, he doesn't want to go to preschool and I'm not going to force it on him. Connor isn't writing of wanting to write like most kids his age. He doesn't want to listen to anything an adult has to say. He will how ever start listening to me more or this chair is going to be glued to his butt (See the Time out Chair, it's under the Dragon flag.

As for Jacob, I have been having a problem with him doing his homework. The sun goes down around 5 and he has to be in the house after 5. Well he gets home, eats a snack, and plays with Connor or talks with me to get away from doing his homework. It's all fun and games until he gets pissed that it is after 5 and I won't let him go outside to play. It is a battle.
I love the battle, I love a challenge, but I'm so tired of it.All I can say is what goes around comes around, cause when they get older they will have kids that act just like them and I'm going to laugh just like My grandma does at me.
Thanks for letting me Vent!!!

Fever Blister

Well Connor has been faced with his first fever blister.
Oddly enough he had a low grade fever when he got it.
He isn't a child that will leave well enough along, so he pulled at it and now it has a huge scab.
I had to apply ointment to a bandaid to get him to stop playing with it.
This is the same kid that when he gets chapped lips he pulls on the skin. OUCH!!!

1st Soccer Game

So Connor's 1st Soccer Game was Saturday.
At first he was doing great. He slipped and fell, got up and started playing again.
Next thing we know he is crying in the middle of the field.
He said the Blue Team is beating him up. And he wouldn't play again.
He also said I don't want to play soccer anymore. The game was only 20 minutes long. It was 4 on 4. And all the kids on Connor's team just started crying and didn't want to play. It was the longest 20 minutes I've had in a while.
The coach was ready to throw in the towel (So to speak) after 10 minutes.
It was weird. We told Connor he can't quit and he will still go to practice on Thursday to and every game. He is old enough to understand that quitting isn't the right thing to do.

A Military Child vs A Civilian Child

1. A Civilian child usually dances around or talks during the National Anthem. A military child stands quietly with his hand over his heart.
2. A civilian child sees race. A military child sees diversity.
3. A civilian child has a best friend in his hometown. A military child has a best friend on almost every continent.
4. A civilian child sees only the plane flying over. A military child not only can identify the type of plane flying but knows someone who works on them.
5. A civilian child smells something nasty and yells "eeewwww, what's that smell?". A military child smells something nasty and yells "M.O.P.P. 4! M.O.P.P. 4!!"
6. A civilian child sees a person in uniform. A military child can tell you what branch he's in and what his rank is.
7. A civilian child thinks home is where the heart is. A military child knows home is where the military sends you.
8. A civilian child lives for tomorrow and what it might bring. A military child lives for today for tomorrow Daddy might get called away again.
9. A civilian child gets to kiss mommy and daddy goodnight each night. A military child sometimes has to kiss a picture of daddy or mommy goodnight.
10. A civilian child talks on the phone for fun. A military child lives for the 15 minute phone calls once a week.
11. A civilian child can read and write in English. A military child can read and write in acronym.
12. A civilian child says "good-bye". A military child says "see you later".
13. A civilian child gets to see things other kids would love to see. A military child gets to see things world leaders would love to see.
14. A civilian child will probably go to the same school his entire life. A military child will probably change schools every 2 years.
15. A civilian child might rarely leave his hometown for anything other than vacation. A military child will rarely see his "hometown" for anything other than vacation.
And finally...a civilian child supports our soldiers. A military child is a soldier.
The next time you say a prayer for our troops, please say a prayer for their families, especially their children back home that are trying to be strong.

Thanks Susan!!!
