We are all done with Christmas Shopping. The weather here has been 65 to 70.
And on Christmas it is suppose to be 56.

I love watching the boys open presents.

Soccer Monkey

 

Connor got his first taste of Soccer Practice tonight.
After having the schedule on Wednesday at 7pm and telling the coach we wanted a different team. We got a call today that he has practice Thursdays at 6pm. There are 7 kids on the team. 2 are 5 year olds the other 5 are 4 year olds.
He had a blast. This is the only photo I got of him without other kids from the team in it. Since I didn't get permission to post those kids on the web. Jacob got to help be the swamp monster with the coach. Both of the boys had a blast. Connor cried cause he didn't want to go home!!! 

Dear Santa

Dear Santa,

I've been a good mom all year. I've fed, cleaned and cuddled my
children on demand, visited the doctor's office more than my doctor, sold sixty-two cases of candy bars to raise money to plant a shade tree on the school playground. I was hoping you could spread my list out over several Christmases, since I had to write this letter with my son's red crayon, on the back of a receipt in the laundry room between cycles, and who knows when I'll find anymore free time in the next 18 years.

Here are my Christmas wishes:
I'd like a pair of legs that don't ache (in any color, except purple,
which I already have) and arms that don't hurt or flap in the breeze; but are strong enough to pull my screaming child out of the candy aisle in the grocery store.

I'd also like a waist, since I lost mine somewhere in the seventh
month of my last pregnancy.
If you're hauling big ticket items this year I'd like fingerprint
resistant windows and a radio that only plays adult music; a
television that doesn't broadcast any programs containing talking
animals; and a refrigerator with a secret compartment behind the
crisper where I can hide to talk on the phone.
On the practical side, I could use a talking doll that says, "Yes,
Mommy" to boost my parental confidence, along with two kids who don't fight and three pairs of jeans that will zip all the way up without the use of power tools.
I could also use a recording of Tibetan monks chanting "Don't eat in the living room" and "Take your hands off your brother," because my voice seems to be just out of my children's hearing range and can only be heard by the dog.
If it's too late to find any of these products, I'd settle for enough
time to brush my teeth and comb my hair in the same morning, or the luxury of eating food warmer than room temperature without it being served in a Styrofoam container.
If you don't mind, I could also use a few Christmas miracles to
brighten the holiday season. Would it be too much trouble to
declare ketchup a vegetable?
It will clear my conscience immensely. It would be helpful if you could coerce my children to help around the house without demanding payment as if they were the bosses of an organized crime family.
Well, Santa, the buzzer on the dryer is ringing and my son saw my feet under the laundry room door. I think he wants his crayon back.
Have a safe trip and remember to leave your wet boots by the door and come in and dry off so you don't catch cold.
Help yourself to cookies on the table but don't eat too many or leave crumbs on the carpet.

P.S. One more thing...you can cancel all my requests if you can keep my children young enough to believe in Santa.

Soccer

Okay sometime ago we signed Connor up for Soccer. Jacob doesn't want to play. Finally yesterday we get a call from the coach, practice is on Wednesdays at 7pm. Okay Jacob's bedtime is at 7:30. To me getting a goodnight sleep is more important than sports. So I'm going to called Connor's Coach tomorrow and tell him he isn't going to be playing. I know Connor will be upset, but if he was in preschool this year his bedtime would be 7pm. If anyone thinks I'm wrong about this please let me know.

Tooth # 7

Jacob lost tooth # 7 today!
He said it started turning sideways and was hurting so when he got home today I had to hold him down, but it came out easy. All was left was the one side.

Mike's Class Update

So he got home after work at 1:30 am. Got a shower since PT was from 12 am to 1 am. Got to sleep about 2 am. Then got recalled, for a bag drag, mobility folder check, and self aid and buddy care class at 3 am. He got back home from that about 6 am and went to bed. He woke up about 12 pm and started getting ready from his 2nd day of class.

He loves the teaching part so far.

I'm not sure what to think of a squadron that calls you in after only 1 hour of sleep!

Mike's 1st Class

Today Mike started his first Information Management Teaching Course
He has 13 students!
He is on T-Shift, which is from about 3 pm to 1 am

I'm so proud of him!!

Thanksgiving

Okay after 9 years of Marriage, Mike & I had some of his family (Dan, Angie and David) over for Thanksgiving. (Probably because we live about 2 hours away from each other now, but anywho)

I cooked (Yeppers they are all still alive) Green Bean Cass, Easy Cheesy Corn Cass, Mac~n~Cheese, 7 Layer Dip, Cresent Rolls, Rice, Mashed Taters, Gravy, 2 Pumpkin Pies, Apple Dumplings, Pecan Pie, No Bake Cheesecake, Pumpkin Muffins, Apple Pie, Sausage Balls, and I made a platter of summer sausage, smoked cheese, Port Wine Cheese, Cranberry Sauce (Connor calls it Jelly), Crackers and the dips for the summer sausage.
Mike's Mom Cooked, Turkey, Ham, and Dressing.

If you were hungry it was your own fault.
I had so many left overs.

For Christmas, Angie is going to try to see if she can get the entire clan (Dan, Angie, David, Greg, Nikki, & Jon) over here. But I don't do a big deal on Christmas. We do a Happy Birthday Jesus Cake and cook just like normal. Because it is a day of Thanks, Celebration, Fun & Laughter!

Flooding

Our Street Miles Ct and Half of Whitney Dr is Flooded.School is still open.
The neighbor was nice enough to tell me there is no way I can leave, the roads were blocked. His section of the road wasn't, remind me to ask him to take Jacob to school next time.
Anyway, I called the school. Told them Jacob isn't going.
Then I decided that Jacob is going to school. I called Marty and she agree to get Jacob at Popps Ferry if I get him there.
So I walked Connor over to Mr. Bills then I walked Jacob down to Popps Ferry in the pouring rain and the areas that weren't flooded. Got him into Marty's car and she took him to school. The good news was that the school took away being tardy so he wasn't late. YAY! He was a little upset that he had to go. Oh well. He has the entire next week off.
The road is finally not flooded, but it is still pouring.
Also remind me to take a photo next time. This is so funny!

Rent V/S Buy

Well we decided to just keep renting the house we are living in now for the next 4 years. It will be for an entire 5 years.
Reasons, we don't want the headache of hurricanes, insurance prices, worrying if it will sell, rather or not the AF will change their minds again and say that we can move.
We weighed all the options and we are just going to save as much as possible while here and maybe at the next base we will buy.
Plus our landlord said he will need our rent the same for the entire time we are here. He isn't out to make money. He is a great retired Chief.

5 Years, Ramble

Okay if someone would have told us this tour was going to be 5 years I don't think we would have applied, but Everything Happens For A Reason!
So we have been thinking about purchasing a house. If anyone has advice on this please spill.
Jacob will be in finishing 7th grade when we leave here, which means he will finish school at North Bay then have to go Over The Bridge to a different school for 7th, so he will get to meet more friends and maybe loses friends again. But that is 4.5 years from now. Maybe Biloxi will build a Junior High Over in North Bay Area due to the fact there are houses going up everywhere.
I know they asking folks to sign a petition to have the schools re-annexed due to tons of new developments.
Connor will be in 3rd grade. So at the rate we are going we move from here Jun 2011. Mike will have 14 years in. Jacob will be going into 8th grade and Connor 4th when we go to our next duty station, that is if there is a next duty station.
Back to this purchasing a house, can you do it with no money down, no closing cost, if so how??? Spill!!!

WTF???
Honestly do they think that Mike is not going to burn out with 5 years of teaching the same damn thing over and over again.
Oh Guess I should also say, we were told Officially today that we are extended, we went from 3 years instructor duty to 4 and now we are at 5 years.

New Pet

Mike caught me a Lizard. The Boys named it Izzy!
It stayed in the house under the washer for a while then either two things happen. 1. Chi-Chi had a dead lizard in her mouth, don't know if it was Izzy. 2. Izzy hide in a box and scared the poop out of me and Mike took it back outside.
Let's hope that Chi-Chi cause another Izzy and not the same one that Mike caught for me. Oh well either way. It was fun having a lizard as a pet for a day!!!

Pensacola Fair/Photos

OMGosh, it was so fun!

Mike's parents went with us. They watched the boys when Mike and I rode ride they couldn't. They also took about 80 pictures. Yeppers Mike's mom is as crazy about photos as I am. (I hope you enjoy my photos!)

We got there about 11 am and didn't leave until 5 pm. Connor cried on the first ride, but he finally calmed down and he got on the crazy bus, he thought that was the best ride ever.

Mike and I rode the Zipper. Okay someone could have told me about the flipping upside down part. I screamed so much, Mike was laughing and said his ears were ringing.

They had blue raspberry candy apples, funnel cakes, elephant ears, fries, soda lots and lots of soda, fudge. They were nice and sugared up!!!

Jacob's Thoughts:I thought it was fun. Mom was scared of the wasp. Connor was crying on one of rides.

Updates

Okay as you can tell Mike is done with the NCO Academy, he didn't bring home any wood, which he is a little bummed about, but got over quickly. He is taking a week off before heading back to work to finish up his training with teaching and should have his 1st class in Dec 06. His task after that is to study his bum off so he can test for E-7 Master Sgt. Wish him luck!!

Jacob is doing great in school, his first report is posted on here, just scroll down.
He enjoys Pokemon (Still), Yu-Gi-Oh, Avatar, jumping on the trampoline, reading, wow can this child read. He has a little problem with math, but he is getting better, especially when he thinks about the question before answering it.

Connor, camera hog on here, guess cause that is because he is home with me. He loves Playgroup, He is really going to miss it come next year when he starts school.
He loves everything his brother loves. Especially annoying him. They fight lots (Brotherly Love). He start soccer soon. He is looking forward to it.

Me; I stay busy with the boys and the girls (Chi-Chi & Pandie). I like being back in the states, but I do miss all of my friends that are still in England. I'm making new friends down here. (Great Friendship last a lifetime)
