This is an e-mail I got for a friend, it got me thinking about how much Christmas has started rotating around Santa and kids wanting more and more and playing with less and less. I just thought I would share. Hope it gets you thinking as well. ~~Hugs Bobbie Jo

Remember My Birthday? As you well know, we are getting closer to my birthday. Every year thereis a celebration in my honor and I think that this year the celebration will be repeated.During this time there are many people shopping for gifts, there are many radio announcements,TV commercials, and in every part of the world everyone is talking that my birthday isgetting closer and closer.It is really very nice to know, that at least once a year, some people think of me. As you know,the celebration of my birthday began many years ago. At first people seemed to understand andbe thankful of all that I did for them, but in these times, no one seems to know the reason forthe celebration. Family and friends get together and have a lot of fun, but they don't know themeaning of the celebration.I remember that last year there was a great feast in my honor. The dinner table was full of delicious foods, pastries, fruits, assorted nuts and chocolates. The decorations were exquisite and there were many, many beautifully wrapped gifts. But, do you want to know something? I wasn't invited. I was the guest of honor and they didn't remember to send me an invitation.The party was for me, but when that great day came, I was left outside, they closed the door in my face......... and I wanted to be with them and share their table.In truth, that didn't surprise me because in the last few years all close their doors to me.Since I was not invited, I decided to enter the party without making any noise. I went in andstood in a corner. They were all drinking; there were some who were drunk and telling jokes andlaughing at everything. They were having a great time. To top it all, this big fat man all dressedin red wearing a long white beard entered the room yelling Ho-Ho-Ho! He seemed drunk. He sat on the sofa and all the children ran to him, saying : "Santa Claus, Santa Claus"... as if the party were in his honor !At 12 midnight all the people began to hug each other ; I extended my arms waiting for someoneto hug me and . do you know .... no one hugged me.Suddenly they all began to share gifts. They opened them one by one with great expectation.When all had been opened, I looked to see if, maybe, there was one for me.What would you feel if on your birthday everybody shared gifts and you did not get one? I thenunderstood that I was unwanted at that party and quietly left.Every year it gets worse. People only remember to eat and drink, the gifts, the parties andnobody remembers me. I would like this Christmas that you allow me to enter into your life.I would like that you recognize the fact that almost two thousand years ago I came to thisworld to give my life for you, on the cross, to save you. Today, I only want that you believethis with all you heart.I want to share something with you. As many didn't invite me to their party, I will have myown celebration, a grand party that no one has ever imagined, a Spectacular party.I'm still making the final arrangements. Today I am sending out many invitations and there isan invitation for you. I want to know if you wish to attend and I will make a reservation foryou and write your name with golden letters in my great guest book. Only those on the guestlist will be invited to the party. Jacob's virtual pet died at 7:30 pm.
When he went off beeping that he was sick he went off to his home planet.
He left an egg behind. So Jacob gets to start all over again. This little egg is growing up faster than the first one. HA HA.

Jacob got his report card. He did great. Alex spent the night here Wed, Jacob at her house on Thurs, Fri Night my house, Sat night her house.
Sat we took the kids to Big Sky, they had a blast. I lost Jacob's Virtual Pet in the ball pit. HA HA. I found it. BTW: Ball Pits are still nasty. We told Jacob I lost it and he was ready to jump head first into it. It took us 5 minutes to tell him I found it.
Saturday Night, Mike and I went to see Harry Potter 4. It was great. Didn't stick to the book that well but it was still great. It was nice to be out of the house and have a date. We talked and joked.
Sunday we started putting up Christmas stuff. I'm so in the christmas spirit.

Got new depression meds, Effexor XR.
They will take a week or so before I notice any difference. I have a follow-up appt in a month. Got my allergy shot and Connor wanted a flu shot so he got one. He did great didn't even cry. I wonder if he is going to do this great with his 4 year old shots.
Mike made an 89 on his Psychology Test.

Weekend; 11-13 Nov

Went to a Veteran's Day Service. Mike carried the US Flag with honor guard.
Went out to Lakenheath/Mildenhall afterwards. Jacob got a new virtual pet.
Saturday Cleaned the carpets getting ready for the move in 6 months.
The boys played outside with Alex.

Went to Mike's friends Birthday Party.
Saturday Night: Jacob was ready for it to go to sleep and said he was taking him to bed. Needless to say, Jacob fell asleep but the virtual pet didn't.

Sunday, cleaned the kitchen and the boys played with Alex from 10 am until 6 pm. It was great. There wasn't any fighting with the boys all weekend. We are keeping Alex for 2 days next weekend since it is a 4 day one. Her folks are keeping the boys for 2 days also. We all get a much needed break.

Went back to the doctor for my follow-up. I'm not Bi-Polar.
I am normally depressed and I have to cut out caffeine and exercise more. Not just walking, but jogging or gym time again. I also get to get back on my antidepressant meds next week. I'll tell you how well those work.

Holy Cow, this month seems to be flying by quickly. Heck it feels like Nov just started and we are already 8 days into it. If that is a sign to how quick time is flying. Then this is going to suck.
Well come Jan we should know for sure about our assignment to Keesler.

Mike and Jacob are going to Peterboro for a class field trip. They are going to look at Fossils and Rocks. YAY, Loads of fun.

Yesterday we started a little bit of Christmas Shopping. Can someone please tell me why Christmas is so give me this and that.
Connor was looking at the hallmark card section saying mom I want this for Christmas. When we were leaving he was screaming I want a sucker for Christmas.

Chi-Chi and Pandie are in SC with my mom. We couldn't see putting them through the 6 month quartine. We moved to England before they changed the rules. We will see them soon. We miss them lots.

Halloween Witch

Took the boys trick or treating. They both got a bag full of candy. Connor lost his shield so I will have to go looking for it tomorrow. We got home about 7:15 went through the candy and had the boys choose the candy they wanted to keep the rest they left out for the halloween witch. (I went outside and found a witch, I told her she can have these bags of candy if she rings the bell and tells the boys thank you for the candy here is your treat.) The Halloween Witch rang the bell and the boys ran to the door. There at the door was the witch, she said thanks for the candy and said here is your treat. The boys were so excited they said Thank You and took the bag and ran to their bedrooms. Jacob now believes in the Halloween Witch!!!

School photos, Sibling Photos, and Family Photos.
Sara Pronounced (Sar-rah) is the photographer. She did a great job with the kids. We had printer problems and on top of that the contractors on base hit a gas line, so we had a gas leak. She had to rush through two classes.
Had lots of ladies helping out. It was great.
We had to leave Alconbury and go to Molesworth, which a few parents didn't like. But it wasn't like we could take photos in the dark. LOL.
Oh well. Proofs went home on Monday. I'm waiting for the phone calls to pour in. Orders will go out on Sat.
The boys took really nice photos. We also had a family photo made. I will have to get them on here soon as I get them back.
Boys are doing good. Both have that nasty cough and running nose. Got to love the its cold nope its warm outside that cause everyone to get sick.

Saturday we went out to Lakenheath just to get out of the house. Jacob feels much better. He was talking up a storm and just about bouncing off the wall. He said he is ready to go back to school now. Monday night he noticed he didn't get to go to Speech, he loves his speech class. He missed Thursday because he was sick and Monday was a Holiday. He said he wants to go to Speech everyday.
Connor didn't catch Strep Throat, neither did me or Mike.
He has been enjoying having Jacob home. He doesn't know what to do with himself today. Get this; This morning 11 Oct, he decided he doesn't want diaper or pull-ups he wanted underwear. He walked Jacob to school and when we got into the library he still said Nope, don't have to go pee or poop then he peed his pants. Oh well at least he is trying. Normally he screams if you put underwear anywhere near him. I changed his clothes and he still didn't want a diaper or pull-ups. He said I want to be a big boy. Awww, how cute.
Mike is taking his Speech Clep today. Let's see how he does this time. Last time he forgot what he was doing during the speech and just stopped. Wish him luck.

Jacob is sick. He has been running a fever for two days. His throat hurts. We are taking him into the Clinic for his throat today at 1.
Jacob has Strep Throat.
He is on antibiotic, hopefully they will work quickly, because he was in a lot of pain before he took his nap.

HAPPY 26th BIRTHDAY MIKE!

Today we went out to Lakenheath to the Bazaar.
Mike got his Family Name History.
He also got $100 from us to spend on whatever he wants. Needless to say he didn't want anything.

30 Sept

Picked up the Van Finally after about 3 weeks of paperwork.
Drove home, got Jacob from School, then headed out to Molesworth for Mike's Re-Enlistment Ceremony. Tomorrow is Mike's 26th Birthday and no one at work believes that he is 26, they think he is lying and just cutting off 10 extra years. Oh well. We went to Maggie & Collin's and ate McDonalds and played board games again.

30 Sept

We picked up the New Vehicle.
We bought a 2005 Toyota Sienna XLE- 8 Seater. It is great. The boys aren't fighting or fussing with each other. They can't even touch. There is DVD to keep them quite. I'll have to post pictures soon.

27 Sept

Marty decided he wanted to trade Jacob for his bike. So they switch bikes. Jacob then flips over the handlebars and gets beat up pretty bad. Jacob got grounded for the rest of the day, because he knows better than to ride someone elses bike.
Connor runs smack dab in a wall. HOLY COW What A Day.

24-25 Sept

Saturday.
We went to the BX to look around. Jacob went to his friend's birthday party at 4 it was over at 6. Sounded like everyone had fun. The rest of us went to the Commissary to get a few items. We got Pizza and stuff to make cupcakes and rice krispies treat. The cupcakes stuff has been a lots of fun and a huge mess.
We got black, white, and orange icing and some candies that go on top of the icing. The kids have had more candies on the floor and table instead of the cupcakes. They get to decorate there own cupcakes when they get one.
We picked up the Hitchhitchers Guide to the Galaxy and we all sat on the living room floor watching it eating pizza and drinking root beer. Jacob was the first one out Cold.
Sunday:
Jacob woke up with a sore throat, so he laid in bed and relaxed all day. By Sunday night he was feeling tons better. He read a book, watched tv, and played gameboy.

23 Sept

Didn't do much out and about.
Mike took the KIA to get fixed. It is back to normal.
We went out to Mildenhall for a Birthday Present for another one of Jacob's friends. His party is tomorrow at the bowling alley. Jacob got him a Star Wars Ship that you have to put together.
We got the cat flea stuff.

22 Sept

We went to playgroup, then went over to the library and helped Ms. Johnson with the books. Connor got to hear a story from the high school librarian. He was over talking with Ms. Johnson when the 1st graders came in and they were there for the story too.

21 Sept

Took Jacob to school. He took a test on his library book. So far he is enjoying reading. Connor went to play with Maj Abbott. He got a sticker and candy. I got my allergy shot. After that we went to Subway and Anthony's Pizza and got lunch. Then over to the school to eat lunch with Jacob. We went and helped in the library and he played with the computers and the Grinch.
Supper tonight was my first try at Lumpia. It was okay. I'll stick with sausage instead of hamburger meat. :)

20 Sept

Today Connor went to Playgroup. He had a blast. It is from 10-12. He screamed because he didn't want to leave. He was soo tired after it. We went to lunch at the library while I volunteered in there. He played on the computer for a bit. You would think that since he was soo tired that he would take a nap, NOPERS. He will be going back to Playgroup on Thursday. He calls it school. At least he gets to play with other kids. Too bad all the boys and girls seem to play by themselves. He played with the trains, slides, bikes, and blocks. :)

Back to school. Not too much going on today. I was suppose to get the KIA looked at because the check engine light is on, but ah neither Mike nor the guy that was suppose to look at it agreed on a time.

Today we went out to Peterbourgh. The boys got Halloween Costumes. They are going to be Pirates. We went out there to find Medieval Costumes for the JAC Christmas Party. We are going to have to go out there again, because the shop was closed. Oh well.

Jacob had yet another Birthday Party to go to. This time it was Marty's. It was at the Boy Scout Hut and was Horse Themed. It was cute with MORE CAKE!!
Mike, Connor and I went out to Lakenheath to look around.

16 Sept

It was windy and yucky. Connor fell asleep on the way to the Base Gym to get Jacob from the Drill the School was doing. The wind blew soo hard that it knocked over the stroller with him asleep in it. 32 lbs of Connor hit the ground with the stroller. I didn't think he would ever touch another stroller. He is okay and eventually he did sit back in it. After school me and the boys went over to Maggie's. The boys love playing with her daughter.
Jacob went to Justin's Birthday Party. Justin's party started off with Rock Climbing at the Base Gym. Jacob had a blast. The party started at 5:30 and last until 8:30. MORE CAKE.
Mike, Connor and I went over to Collin & Maggie's and played games, while Connor and Meagan played dress up. I will have to post picture of dress up soon.
We didn't get home until 1 AM.

8 Days until Jacob's 7th birthday.
Every morning we have been getting the countdown. He can't wait to turn 7. Can someone please tell me the big deal about turning 7.
Yesterday during homework Jacob said he doesn't know what school he will be going to next year, because we don't know if we are going to MS. I asked him what makes him think that. He said the news. Oh well, as far as we know we are still going. We are at that hurry up and wait for more info status. It's funny how kids take in information differently.

Today was a Monday all around since Monday was a holiday. By the way, Happy Belated Labor Day!
Last night was soo much fun. Jacob woke up having a nightmare twice. He ended up in bed with us. So there was Mike, Connor, Jacob & Me. I left and went out to the living room and couldn't sleep. So I got on the computer. Jacob was screaming in his sleep. This was the 2nd nightmare. He dreamed that Legoland was deleted off the computer. Silly boy.
Today I started helping out in the library with Ms. Johnson. I was suppose to show up at 12:45 and leave at 1:30. Well silly me, went there at 11:45 and left at 1:30, because I need a crash course in clocks. I'm guessing it was from the lack of sleep last night. Oh well, better luck on Thursday. Tomorrow I have a yucky dentist appt.
Connor had fun playing in the library. He got wore out. He came home said I'm going to play in Jacob's room and took off one shoe and fell asleep right there. Hope everyone had a good day!

The kids played all day. Jacob light-saber fought with Mike, Connor and Marty. Connor decided later that he is a snake charmer and he was pretending to blow the brown toy and humming and making the snake to dance. Silly boy!

Connor is back to his old self, playing, laughing and lay on the arm that was sore only a few hours before.

Well it was nursemaids elbow. The doctor popped it back into place and Connor is back to normal. No Pain.

Today was a fun day.
We ended up at Lakenheath, because Connor hurt his arm.
He was scream for about 30 minutes that his arm hurt. We gave him some pain reliever and he stopped and fell asleep. We get him to Lakenheath and he got x-rays of his elbow and wrist. They don't know what is causing his arm to hurt, so they gave him a sling. Poor little Man looks soo sad, but the pain isn't as bad as it was.
We have to take him back tomorrow for another exam.

Jacob has a birthday party to go to at 12.
Can I say again that I'm ready to go back to the states. I'm soo tired of everything opening at 9 am or 11 am. Heck your day is just about over when the store start to open.
Jacob had a blast, Jordan turns 8 on 30 Aug. The party ended up being pizza, ice cream, cake. Then all the kids went bowling, then they went bike riding, and did a sleep over. They watch Charlie and the Chocolate Factory ate popcorn and Jacob was one of the first to fall asleep.

26 Aug

Soccer Camp is over. Jacob got a nice Certificate.
We went to the JAC Picnic from 12pm -5pm
At 1pm we met Jacob's 2nd grade Teacher. Ms. Weiland. She seems pretty nice. We also met Jacob's New Speech Teacher. Ms. Valentine. All the kids are the old ones, except one. Monday is the 1st day of school. I think he is excited and a little scared.

2nd day of Soccer Camp.
Connor wants to go play soccer with Jacob.
Mike scheduled our initial brief for our new assignment its on Monday.

22 Aug

1st day of soccer camp.
Jacob thinks it is fun.
Today is my last day of babysitting the kids go back to the states tomorrow
We took them to their moms promotion ceremony.
Jacob got $3 from the tooth fairy via mail.
On top of the $5 and 1 pound that he got.

15-19 Aug

Monday Dental Appt. Jacob got his filling removed and redid.
I started babysitting a 3 month old and a 4 year old.
Me and Kina took them to all the kids to the park in the afternoon.

More Babysitting.

Jacob got the rest of the filling removed and redid.
The entire week as been fun.
Connor coming home and saying he is a baby and that he can't sit up. um, I wonder if he is jealous.
Mike and I are finally getting excited about moving to Keesler.
It will be a great job for him. Plus he gets another 3 years to stay out of that crap that is going on overseas.
We will be flying home on or around 20 May.
We have to be down there 30 Jun.
This is going to be a big change come weather wise.
Jacob wants a house with an indoor pool. He was surprised when I told him that the pools are outside. He was thinking it was going to be cold and rainy like here. Funny huh?

10-11 Aug

Legoland
We had a blast.
There isn't much to say.
Wednesday we drove down to Legoland Windsor did Legoland from 10-4:30 then we went to the hotel to stay the night. The boys played in the pool. Connor tried to drown himself and Mike had to go into the kiddy pool to save him. He was soaked from knees down. Ask the hotel for a dryer, needless to say Mike dried his shoes with the hairdryer.
The next day we went back to legoland from 10-8. The park closed at 7, but we closed the place. Can't wait to go again. Both of the boys were allowed to do the rides. The park is gear towards 3 to 10 year olds. OMGosh, IT WAS GREAT.
The weather was awesome. 78, sunny.
Thursday morning we did take a detour to see Windsor Castle, it is huge and beautiful. We are hoping to get to go back to see the inside.

I know I've been missing for about a week or so.
But Mike has been on leave for a little over a week.
The first week went by with the normal oh we need you to go to Germany, No we don't, yes we do. BLAH BLAH ETC ETC. Finally said and done NO GERMANY.
Jacob's Play is finally over. I can't say that we will miss the 5 to 6 hours of rehearsals. The kids fighting etc...
I did the program for the play, helped out with tickets and makeup. Me drawing elves and fairies ha ha very funny.
As for next week, Jacob was suppose to do Missouli Play Robin Hood, but we dropped it, because we are going to Legoland Windsor for two days. YEPPERS, you read that right, two days and one night away from the base. WOO HOO!
Today, Sunday 7 Aug, we went to the Medevil Festival Huntingdons 800th. It was cool, it would be even cooler if I could understand what they say. I love the accents but I can't understand them most of the time.
The boys got wooden swords and shields. :) Mike hung them (the swords that is) on the wall.
Sorry if I'm not around for a few more days, but I will be in and out of the house since Mikey is still on vacation. WOO HOO!

27 July Again

Okay let's stratch the Connor is still acting normal. He has whined non-stop since he woke up from his nap. I want this, yes, no, yes no, yes no, yes no. Then finally just pitching a fit on the floor.
I'm guessing that nap wasn't that great.

Jacob played from 1 to 6 with Jordan. He had a blast.
Tomorrow is back to play practice at 6 until 9

Connor Update (Sick)

Well this morning we took him in the clinic.
He has swollen red tonsil and an ear infection.
So he is to continue piggy backing Tylenol and Motrin, every 4 hours.
Every 8 hours Amoxicillin for the next 10 days and every 4 hours Triaminic Cold and Cough. Oddly enough the doctor said he was amazed he wasn't screaming in pain.
I can't really say poor little guy, because the only thing that was getting him down was the fever when the meds wore off. He's not in any pain and he is his normal self. ODD CHILD.
He is in the living room still in PJ's bugging the heck out of Jacob.
I wish all boys/men were like this when they are sick, insteadof whining and complaining. HA HA

NO PLAY PRACTICE FOR ELVES AND FAIRIES YAY!
Connor is still fighting a fever of 103.3.
Everytime he gets hot after the fever reducers wear off his temp is still 103.
So he has an appt this morning to see if there is anything wrong with him.
He has been running it off and on since Friday Night.

Jacob is tired.
He has been busy this entire summer.
He finally broke down this morning and cried about being tired.
Oh, I feel soo sorry for him.
I don't know if it is that he is really tired or that he misses doing his fun friends stuff.
The play and summer school will be over with soon. Then he can sleep in and play with his friends.
Poor guy.

Rain Rain Go Away

Okay it hasn't rain much at all this summer. It has been about like our first summer here. And now it is rainy and the boys are steadily singing Rain Rain Go Away.

Update on Connor

Connor is feeling much better after throwing up and sleeping most of the day. He is eating and drinking and just about back to his normal self.

22-23 July

VBS was fun. All the kids had a blast. Jacob was sad to see it end.
Mike made it home at about 8:30 pm. The boys were happy to see him and so was I.
Connor started to feel warm and ended up with a fever of 103.
He is piggy backing fever reducers.
He is feeling alot better this morning.
Mike is cooking breakfast.
I don't know if we are doing anything this weekend of if we are going to sit back and relax.
Jacob wants to go to the bookmark to get another book. :)

21 July

Mike feels very sure of himself that he won UCOM. He finds out during the luncheon on Friday.
1 more day of VBS and 5 more days of school. Jacob is looking forward to being able to sleep in and play with his friends.
This week is going by soo fast. Probably because we are staying busy.

20 July

Mike went up for his J2 Board at 8 am.
He won. CONGRATS to him again.
He goes up for UCOM Board tomorrow at 10.
Friday he has the luncheon and should be home when the boys and I get done with VBS.
Jacob is loving VBS. He is so excited when it is time to go.
This week has been pretty cool with hardly any sun.
I've been busy trying to keep up with the boys and cleaning.
Jacob and Connor went to the dentist yesterday.
They did great.
Connor got an exam and Jacob got exam, cleaning and xrays.

July 19

Mike left for Germany at 10:15. He will be back sometime Friday.
Connor got his haircut. We are working on a bowl/mushroom cut. So far it looks cute.
Jacob will have rehearsals next week from 2 to 6 everyday getting ready for the big night. I found out that he has a sword fight in the play. :) CUTE.
Also ticket prices for children went up to $3.00 instead of $2.00
Mrs. Ann gave Connor a warm cup of Hot Caramel Choc. He took to sips and spill this little cup that is maybe an ounce on me and him. More me than him. It looked like I pooped myself from the front.
VBS was fun. The preschoolers are starting to calm down a bit.
Mike made it to Germany and will do his board at 8 am tomorrow morning. He will find out tomorrow if he wins.

July 18

9 days of summer school left.
4 days of Vacation Bible School left with 24 preschoolers in one class with one teacher.
4 days until Mike is back from Germany.
The Frog Prince and the Princess Brat play is 5-6 Aug, price is $5.00 for Adults and $2.00 for Children. Can't wait.
Only on Chapter 5 of HP 6.
Connor is standing here naked, trying to spit on my computer. Silly boy.
Jacob is in bed asleep. He has a busy day ahead of him. Summer School, Rehearsals, then him and Connor have VBS.
So if you don't see me online for a while, it is because I'm hiding.

July 17

Had to take the CD burner back to the BX. It didn't work on my 6 year old computer.
And the ones they had that would work were way to expensive.
Oh well. Mike is use to that happening with the presents he gets from me.
First year Oh a Radio. I don't think he will even let me live that down.
Jacob has finished yet another Magic Tree House Book and is ready to go to Mildenhall for a new one. I think I have figured out what to tell Family Memebers to get him for his birthday in about 1 month & 4 weeks. WOW, that soon. 15 Sept will be here before we know it.
We cut the yards for inspections on Tuesday.
Got started on School Clothes. We've got all the school supplies for 2nd grade. OMGosh, 2nd grade. Time sure is flying with him.
Before we know it, it will be time for Connor to start preschool.

Happy 27th Birthday

Today is my birthday.
It started out on Friday evening, we went out to eat at the Little Chef (Food is still gross)
Then we headed out to Mildenhall for the Harry Potter 6 Book Party.
The Party started was from 11-midnight. It wasn't set up good, because people were fighting to get inside to see how the bookmark was decorated. We had # 48 and they said for everyone 41 to 85 to line up. I'm guessing adults don't know how to count because We were suppose to be # 8 in line and we ended up being 20 something. I told Mike this isn't worth it, Both boys feel asleep and we left and instead of driving home we got a room at the base for the night. It was like an apartment. This morning we got up had donuts for breakfast, BK for Lunch and then went to look at Vans. Then we went out to Peterbourgh to get our Harry Potter Books that we had Reserved and now finally we are home. I've had two double shot star bucks coffees. Oh I got a CD Burner for my computer so that I can save all my photos on a disk, just in case.
I got Harry Potter Birthday Hats to Celebrate both, the book and my birthday. The kids loved it. Now they want me to have a party with cake and ice cream. FUNNY KIDS.
We bake Sex in a Pan. Boys loved putting on 27 Candles. I'm just happy neither one of them remembered the birthday hits.

3 Days until Harry Potter 6 & My 27th Birthday
Yesterday the stateside assignments came out for Nov 05-Jan 06 returnees. Listing was small.
Ours for staying Overseas comes out in Aug we should find out in Sept.
Korea is still the only option on there.
We started going through stuff and recleaning the house.
Jacob gets up this morning and says Mom Why is the house getting cleaned.
Funny huh?
Got to see Jacob's Custome for being an Elf. It will be cute. I'll take lots of pictures as always.

9-10 July

Happy Weekend.
Went to Lakenheath/Mildenhall to go look around.
Jacob finished anothe Magic Tree House Book. He got two more books. He is loving reading.
Connor got a Dora Book.
They had fun yesterday afternoon on the slip and slide.
Mike and I are still debating on when and what van to get.
I think we have decided to wait another year.
So much fun, not.
10 months 1 week and 3 days to go.
Getting excited, but we still don't know where we are going.
We should know in Sept.

8 July

Took the boys to the bowling alley to eat lunch and bowl.
Jacob & Connor had fun.
1st Game Connor beat Jacob 101-100
2nd Game Jacob was beating Connor.
Connor fell and busted open his chin. So he quit playing and Jacob won by forfit. Took Connor to the firestation to get checked out. They said it will leave a small scar that will disappear with age. The boys got to look inside the fire station and play on the trucks and the other cars there. They had fun. Got back home and Connor started playing with Ants. He is okay again. And the boys are watching TV and playing in the living room. So much for a day with less events.
Oddly enough, I stopped Jacob from hearing anything about the attacks yesterday and the teacher told him about and so did his little friends. Come on what age is innocent anymore. I had to explain to Jacob about Bombs and death, something I thought I would protect him from just for a few years more. Oh well.

Hurrican Dennis is suppose to be hitting FL soon.

WOW, what can I say.
Today was a day like no other.
London was bombed.
Friends were on their way to visit London, Thank God they are okay and safe.
Makes you think about things.
Can't believe this has happened.
The boys are good. Playing as normal.
I won't tell them anything about it or let them watch or hear the news.

Update:
10 months 1 week 6 days to go.
4th of July: We went to both Carnivals. Alconbury and Feltwell Bases do Carnivals every year for the 4th. Sat we went to Alconbury's, theirs was reduced price from 6 pm to 10 pm. We let the boys do all the rides. Jacob did the Twister (3rd year in a row, love that one), Terimator and the Dare Devil (Cried on that one). Connor rode the trains and trucks. Both of them rode on the tea cups, ponies (not real), slides and the fun house.
At Feltwell, Jacob rode all the adult rides, he had a blast. Connor rode on two.
Get this all the rides were 1 to 2 pounds on Sat and Early Sun Morning 12-1. Well at 1 pm on Sunday they jumped from 1 to 2 pounds to 2 to 4 pounds.
Took the boys we still fireworks on Sunday Night. I recorded them since it is our last 4th here.

Mike sowed on E-6/TSgt on July 1st.
He got a coin from the General in Germany, plus some bruises from everyone hitting his stripes.

Connor's 3 year update
32 lbs 3 feet 1 inches tall.
Not potty trained. He wants to go to school and be like Jacob.
He is into Dora, Spongebob.
He loves the American Flag, right now. If he see it, he yells American Flag.
He likes Castles. Every church is a Castle. Can't blame him though because they do look like one from the outside.
He is into the normal boy stuff, trucks, cars, balls, fighting, swords etc...

He is into Magic Tree House Books (he can't get enough of them) He read one in about 3 days.
He got a bigger bike 20 inches.
His play is the 1st week in Aug.

4th week Soccer Camp (Although so far he doesn't want to play soccer, because he says it is too cold)
5th week ~ 2nd grade
15 Sept ~ 7th Birthday
Then he can walk to and from school by himself. (I'm still not so sure of that)
He likes reading, pokemon, and just about everything any little 6 year old likes.

Me:
I turn 27 the day Harry Potter 6 comes out.
We have two books on reserve.
In england they do a Childrens & Adults Edition.


We are taking the kids to Legoland and Alton Towers Water Park
Going to Nottingham and York.
We would love to see Scotland, Wales, Liverpool and Cornwall, but it is too expensive.
So we will have to just look at it in books.

Today we did Connor's Birthday Party. He had a Dora Cake with Soccer Ball Candles. He got to choose the entire set up. Everyone got him Dora Movies. umm, I wonder if he likes Dora. We took Connor and Jacob bowling after the party with cake and ice cream. They had a blast.

Caister Vacation

It was fun. Kids had a blast. The ocean was pretty. It was fun crawling on the rocks. There was soo much for the kids to do. The 1st, 2 days it was nice out. Me and Jacob had to stay in the 2nd day, because we got sick. The boys played on the playground stuff the first day and the huge slides. Then we got our caravan and got every set up. Jacob puked at Tesco on the 3rd Day.
Every day we went swimming in the warm heat indoor pool. It rained from the 3rd day until we left. Friends of ours joined us on Wednesday. The kids had fun singing, dancing, coloring and making friends with the Characters. Rory, Anxious, and Greedy. Everyday from 6pm to 12 midnight, there was stuff for the kids to do and watch. It was cold at night and we had to all cuddle up in the living room area and block it off with a blanket with the gas heater on high.
Even though we were cold and got sick, everyone still had fun and we will probably do it again, before we leave here.

Went to Sakina's sister Mina's Pub with her and the boys. In boys I mean Cole and Connor.
Connor gets out of the car and jumps in this puddle that is up to his knees. He starts crying. I laughed soo hard. Took him into the pub, cleaned him up and changed his pants and socks. Dried his sandals and he was up and running again. Him and Cole played at the backdoor with the Dog. Big Dog may I add.
After that we drive back to the base. We stop and look at the New 2005 Chevy Colorado. Nice truck, they want $18,000 for it. Then Sakina decided it was time for me to drive a stick. HA HA. That was funny.
We go around the block. (Bouncing all the way, ha ha ha). Then she took me and Connor home. At home Connor goes outside, while I call the School Back. Spring Photos are at the end of Apr and I'm in charge again. YAY, (LOL). He lets the cats out. I called for them and look all over the backyard and could find them. Oddly enough about 30 minutes later they are at the door crying. Connor threw a ball over the fence. I told him oops its gone. Lunch time: Connor wants pizza but will not eat it. umm, I wonder if that sounds fimilar. Tonight Jacob has his first T-ball Practice. Him and Marty is on the same team.

Oh Joy

Today has been one of those days.
Woke up at 7 am. Mike took Jacob to school. Connor and I went to go get my haircut, the lady say just walk in. Yeah right, that was funny. Made an appt. Went to BX. (Oh Joy). Then went back to Sakina's house. Watched Cole and Connor play. Cole took nap. Connor refused to take one. After leaving her house, I passed this house with a really cute Chihuahua in the window. It was small like Chi-Chi, but it was grey. Oh it was soo cute. (Darn do I miss my dog).
Connor has been fussy nonstop. Jacob came home. Did his homework. I finally got him an appt to get his eyes checked, couldn't believe how hard they make it for you to get an appt. (British healthcare).
Well today has been one tiresome day. I'm past ready for a nap.

March 28

Spring was in the air, the fresh smell of rain in the morning. Now we are at the fresh smell of Farm Land in the morning with it being chilly. 60 was warm for a few days, now it is 60 with no sun. Sun (big yellow ball in the sky), umm, I wonder what happen to it. :) Oh well.
Jacob is at school. Connor is running around the house, driving the cats crazy with a paddle ball. (Easter Present, Darn Bunny). he he.
Got to car fixed today, no more weird sounds, woo hoo, and it only cost 20 bucks.
Well going to do some cleaning and figure out what sounds good for supper. Laters

Easter Sunday

Connor woke up early, WOW, Jacob look.
The boys played with their Easter Toys.
They also fought over toys. That has been going on for a while. Fun!
We went to Frankie and Benny's for Lunch.
I don't know what we are doing for supper.
Went to the BX for a while.
Jacob's friend Jordan came over and they played Pokemon for a while. Then decided it was fun to beat up Connor. Jordan went home at 5pm. Mike & I put together some puzzles, then glued them so we won't do it again.
Jacob & Mike are cleaning up Jacob's Room.
This has been a cleaning weekend, and the bad thing is the cleaning is never finished.
As someone told me before, Cleaning a house while your kids are still young is like shoveling snow when it is still snowing.

Easter Weekend

So far so good.
Boys are being themselves.
Connor got sick he feels better, be he is a little cling on today.
Jacob played pokemon battle with Mike. He also beat Jordan at Pokemon. That was awesome for him.
Mike and I cleaned up the backyard, looks pretty nice.
I painted the swing back from rusty green to hunter green. It looks almost new. Connor painted himself. He got paint on his face, hands and feet. It was funny.
Jacob must have had a busy day because he feel asleep about 8 am.
Connor is eating suckers like that are going out of style.
Mike is playing Pokemon. Like Father Like Son
Tomorrow is Easter.
We will hide dye and hide eggs. Hopefully the kids will have a nice day with hardly any fussing.
Well I'm going to go get Con Man to sleep.
